Good morning!

I spoke with Brooke first thing this morning.

(I have to admit, I always say a quick prayer for good news when I see it is someone from Arizona calling!)

And thankfully, it was good news...

Andie has remained stable throughout the night. She still has fluid in her lungs, but it is just a matter of her heart healing and pumping properly to get more oxygen into them.

More specific prayer requests....

*That Andie would continue healing from the surgery, and stay free from infection & any kind of illness.
*That her 'Pulmonary Hypertension' would subside.
*That she would remain comfortable & free from pain.
*That Duane & Brooke will remain strong, peaceful, & comforted during her healing process.
*For her big brothers while they are away from their parents & 'normal' routines.
*For continued wisdom upon the doctors & nurses while they care for her.
*All the sick babies. And their parents having to stay strong while their children are ill.

I know it seems like a lot, but thankfully it is never too much for God.

Thank you again for your love & support. We don't ever want to take any of it for granted. It is very much a blessing.

In Christ~

Kelly

Now glory be to God! By his mighty power at work within us, he is able to accomplish infinitely more than we would ever dare to ask or hope.

We are also a "heart family" and we heard about you through the grapevine. We will keep Andie and the whole family in our thoughts and prayers. If there's anything we can do, please let us know. We are also part of a support group called Mended Little Hearts that has been a valuable resource on this road. Please keep my email address and if Duane and Brooke have any questions at any point, we're always here to help!

My daughter was diagnosed with coarctation of the aorta while in utero. She had open heart surgery at 4 days old. I know the emotions and feelings that the parents are going through. We'll be praying for this sweet little girl.

Our 4th baby girl just celebrated her first birthday yesterday! Jackie was born with several major heart defects, Coarctation of the Aorta, Transposition of the Great Arteries, a Ventricular Septal Defect and an Atrial Septal Defect. She had a 12 hour open heart surgery at 10 days old...we found out when she was 5 days old just as they were about to discharge her from the hospital. She came home 2 weeks after her surgery and is doing so well! I know what you are going through, and we pray that the Lord will carry you every step of the way, and make Andie's heart happy. Don't hesitate to contact me if I can be of any help.
